Janet Weinstein is a seasoned video producer based in northern Vermont. She specializes in overseeing pitching, producing, shooting, editing and writing enterprise stories for news and documentary teams.

Currently, Janet is working remotely as the Director of Video for start-up LIT Videobooks and an adjunct professor at Champlain College.

For more than seven years, she was staff for ABC News in Washington, DC as a digital journalist, where she was a one-(wo)man-band for all digital platforms in addition to covering assignments for the domestic news desk. In 2017, she was a part of the ABC News field team whose Hurricane Harvey coverage was nominated for an Emmy. 

Previously, Janet worked for Al Jazeera America's "Inside Story" as a package producer and has dipped in-and-out of freelance life over the years, filing enterprise feature stories for clients such as AJ+, The Associated Press, BBC News Magazine and VOA News. In 2016, she served as a video representative on the executive board of the White House News Photographers Association.

Janet started her career in London, UK as a news assistant for Associated Press Television News (APTN). She earned her masters in Global Politics from Queen Mary, University of London and bachelors in Media and Communications from Goldsmiths, University of London.

Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and all-things snow related.
